WHO WE ARE

  • Coho Commissary is a local company founded in Vancouver and expanding quickly

  • What is a commissary? Think of it as a co-working space but instead of an office, it’s a kitchen and instead of desks we have stations.

  • This November we are opening a state-of-the-art 10,000 SQFT facility in Strathcona that will feature a café / retail / pop-up event space

  • This is our first café! So if you have the entrepreneurial spirit and know-how to help us build it up and out into a successful Vancouver destination, we can’t wait to meet you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • We are hiring a LEADER. We value your opinion and expect you to share and communicate them in a positive and respectful manner.

  • You will be working alongside your team, providing hands-on support to ensure the store is operating efficiently – maximizing productivity, profitability, and customer experience.

  • You will report directly to and work closely with the Café/Retail Operations Manager to develop and design innovative community events, menu offerings, and experiences as well as executing upon promotional and marketing campaigns

  • You will work to deliver upon Coho’s brand and operational standards and achieve budgeted sales and profitability targets

  • Specific responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, training, growing and leading a diverse team of high-performing employees

  • Optimizing profits by controlling key variable costs of food, beverage, labour, waste, and other controllable expenses

  • Maintaining a functionally efficient café with a focus on exceptional cleanliness, service, food, and beverage

  • Managing daily inventory to maximize sales and minimize wastage through effective ordering

  • Monitoring the budget and presenting weekly and monthly financial and operational reports
