We are looking for a Commissary Manager to foster a connective and thoughtful member experience within Coho’s commissaries. The successful candidate will ensure efficient and high quality commissary operations, including member engagement, facility maintenance, and administrative execution.

We are looking for a manager that will not only deliver at a high level but also have the ability to contribute to the larger mission and strategy of the organization. As we continue to expand the specifics of the role may evolve, but the spirit of the position will remain the same.


  • Own member relationship development

  • Primary contact for member feedback and issue resolution

  • Ownership of potential member relationships, from first inquiry to onboarding into kitchen

  • Ensure member compliance to kitchen regulations and contractual agreements

  • Manage communication of status of kitchen, repairs, and other issues to suppliers, management, members, and other interested parties

  • Engage with and understand the needs of member businesses; connect members with opportunities or contacts when relevant

  • Represent and advocate for commissary and membership needs to Coho leadership team

  • Delight and surprise Coho’s members to ensure high member satisfaction

  • Manage external relationships

  • Maintain relationships and facility compliance with regional governance oversight authorities including monthly reports

  • Strive for optimal communication, respect, and relationship fostering with neighbours and immediate community

  • Manage and optimize Coho revenue and cost management

  • Monthly invoice preparation and collection for commissary members

  • Order & estimate future needs for supplies

  • Identify opportunities to streamline or reduce spending

  • Help to organize kitchen layout and usage to drive revenue and maintain member satisfaction

  • Maintain day-to-day quality of commissary

  • Oversee internal and external janitorial services and service providers

  • Ensure that the kitchen is safe, clean, and organized in a way that enables all members to operate to the best of their abilities


  • Proven customer service experience as a manager or team lead

  • Experience or ability quickly gain competency with financial software, CRM, space management software, Google suite, etc.

  • Driver’s license and ability to travel between Coho Locations

  • Food Safe Level 1

  • Acute financial management skills

  • Conflict resolution acuity

  • Superior communication abilities

  • The ideal candidate will have food and beverage knowledge and the ability to support food startups through access to connections and/or advice.
